Spa Co-founder Jessica Lundberg, who was part of the Summit 2019 panel encouraged women at all stages in their life to dream big despite the challenges they face with work, child-rearing, and family. Founded in 2016 by Jessica Lundberg and her inspiring mom partner, Nahil Gebara, the mother-daughter team has built their spa into a world-class destination for spa services, luxury products, and a premier event venue. With a toddler of her own, Jessica can relate more than ever to the ups and downs, and daily challenges of being a working mom, finding balance, and making family a priority.

"One of the Most Beautiful Places to Relax in the U.S."

“This multipurpose room, used for relaxing and entertaining, often hosts spa events. When decorating this communal space, we mixed various metals, creams with whites, and black with indigo. We felt these color combinations were able to bridge the gap between femininity and masculinity—typically diffi cult to achieve in a spa setting. We deliberately selected furnishings that were comfortable and textured yet timeless and classic. We also chose pops of pattern and sparkle with plush pillows, shimmering lighting fi xtures and an accent wall that looks like vintage reclaimed wood but is actually porcelain tile. These details have enabled our spa to embody a relaxing energy. After all, ‘rivage’ means a shore or coast, and those are perfect places to unwind.”

Hosting Holiday Experiences for Teens with Serious Illnesses

Rivage Day Spa hosts a special holiday spa experience for teenage girls battling serious medical conditions who participate in programs through Wish Upon a Teen. The event has taken place every year at Rivage Day Spa since 2016.

Each teen attending enjoys a luxurious day of pampering, including a facial and a choice between a mini-pedicure or a manicure. Food is served, and guests receive a “glam bag” to take home. Spa director, Jessica Lundberg, assures the luxurious experience boosts the girls’ self-esteem while promoting social interaction among those going through similar medical circumstances.

Nancy Sovran, Executive Director of Wish Upon a Teen, adds, “We are thrilled to partner with Rivage Day Spa to provide this amazing day of pampering for our teens. I’m sure they will keep this special day in their memories forever, one that, given their medical situations, they might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. It’s what Wish Upon a Teen is all about, and we are very grateful to Jessica and her amazing staff.”
